The Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) promotes awareness of the realities of dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of interpersonal violence. The office serves as the nerve center for violence prevention education at Ãå±±ÖØ¿Ú and works closely with students, faculty, staff, and community partners who share Ramapo’s commitment to the eradication of gender-based violence. Our programs provide evidence-based literacy and training through innovative prevention strategies in an effort to create a community that fosters a culture of respect, affirmative consent and encourages bystander intervention. Intimate partner violence knowledge a little rusty?

Ãå±±ÖØ¿Ú of New Jersey takes the safety, dignity, and well-being of our community very seriously

If you or a peer was a victim/survivor of an act of violence (sexual, or otherwise); your first step, after getting to a safe place, is to seek and receive proper medical and mental health assistance.Ìý Please go to the Title IX webpage for more resources and reporting options: /³Ù¾±³Ù±ô±ð¾±³æ/Ìý

Interpersonal violence such as Sexual Assault,Ìýis an affront to the well-beingÌýand inherent dignity of our community. Sexual assault harms individual victims and represents the possibility of ongoing harm to others. Ãå±±ÖØ¿Ú does not tolerate any form of power based discrimination. This includes discrimination based on sex and/or gender.

Sexual harassment, in any form; such as sexual assault, stalking, and intimate partner/interpersonal violence are harmful to the well-being of our community members, the learning/working environment, and collegiate relationships among our students, faculty, and staff.ÌýStudents are strongly urged to report sexual assaults to College authorities and to the police in order to protect themselves and others.
