\n

Students are eligible to add a course to their student schedule once registration for a given term has opened.\u00a0 Please consult the academic calendar<\/a> for important dates.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Dropping a Course<\/div>
\n

100% Drop Policy<\/em> – Students can drop their courses at 100% tuition refund from the start of registration until the end of the add\/drop in Web Self Service.\u00a0 All courses dropped in Web Self Service up to and including the last day of the Add\/Drop period will not appear on a student’s transcript. If a full-time student drops a course during this period and remains in full-time status no refund will be issued.\u00a0\u00a0(see Academic Calendar)<\/a><\/p>\n

Dropping a Course<\/a><\/p>\n

50% Drop Policy<\/em> – To drop a course during the 50% refund period the student can drop the course in Web Self Service or submit a 50% Drop Form to the Office of the Registrar.\u00a0 (see Academic Calendar)<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Prerequisites for Taking a Course<\/div>
\n

It is the student\u2019s responsibility to satisfactorily complete all prerequisites before registering for a course. Please review the prerequisite requirements in Web Self Service to be sure you have completed the necessary requirements.\u00a0 Course descriptions are found in Web Self Service, Course\/Catalog Description.<\/p>\n

Transfer or visiting student that have fulfilled the prerequisite, but cannot register for a course should contact the academic school that offers the course. If you prove that you have satisfied the prerequisite, the unit secretary may place an “override” on your record. This will allow you to register for the course.\u00a0 It is the student’s responsibility to go to Web Self-Service <\/a>and complete the registration.<\/p>\n

Winter and Spring 2026 Course Prerequisites<\/a> are now available.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Independent Study<\/div>
\n

Limited opportunities to enroll for course work on an Independent Study basis are available. A student interested in this option should obtain an Independent Study Registration Form from the Registrar; have it completed by the instructor, \u00a0the dean of the school sponsoring the Independent Study, and, in the case of a graduate independent study, the graduate program director; and return it to the Registrar\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
