Individuals seeking to address the Board as part of the Public Comment period of a Regular Meeting are encouraged to sign up by contacting the Office of the President at bwillia1@ramapo.edu or trustee@ramapo.edu by noon on the business day preceding the meeting. Commenters shall provide their name, relationship to the College, and the subject of their comment when signing up.<\/p>\n Unless otherwise noticed, all meetings will be at 3:30pm (Work Session) and at 6:00pm (Regular Public Session) in the Trustees Pavilion at 505 Ramapo Valley Road in Mahwah, New Jersey 07430. Unless otherwise noted, it is anticipated that official action will be taken at these meetings.<\/p>\n Virtual meeting details, if required, will be made available at this site: www.ramapo.edu\/board. The public may attend these meetings in person on the College campus or, if available, virtually via Microsoft Teams.<\/p>\n The schedule of Board Committee meetings<\/a> is subject to frequent change.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Board of Trustees may be contacted through:<\/p>\n Trustee Ben-David<\/p><\/div>\n Michael Ben-David<\/strong>, of Franklin Lakes, is a public school educator with more than 24 years experience in teaching, coaching and administration, Trustee Ben-David currently serves as the Superintendent of the Tenafly Public Schools following eight years in West Morris Regional. Prior to entering education, Trustee Ben-David spent a brief period as an attorney\/clerk in the United States Federal Courts and as a litigation associate at Riker, Danzig in Morristown. Trustee Ben-David is a graduate of Rutgers College (B.A.), Seton Hall Law School (J.D.), and the College of Saint Elizabeth (M.Ed). While in law school, Trustee Ben-David was an Associate Editor of the Seton Hall Law Review, interned with Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr., then on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and was the recipient of the Seton Hall University School of Law Pro Bono Service Program award for his work teaching Street Law in Jersey City.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Trustee Dator<\/p><\/div>\n William \u201cBill\u201d Dator<\/strong> was born in India but moved to his father\u2019s home in Mahwah at an early age. He is a third generation real estate broker and is also a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. Trustee Dator attended Monmouth University and studied real estate appraisal at the University of Indiana, the University of Connecticut, and the University of San Francisco Law School. He was formerly Chairman of the Northwest Bergen County Utilities Authority, and he is an active member of the Mahwah Office of Emergency Management. Trustee Dator has volunteered his time in several leadership roles including: President of the Mahwah Chamber of Commerce, Battalion Chief with the Mahwah Fire Department, President of the Mahwah Ambulance Corps, and Trustee of the Mahwah Museum. Professionally, he served as Director of Independence Bank and Commerce Bank North. Trustee Dator served as Chair of the 缅北重口 Board from 2017 to 2020, is the founding President of the Friends of Ramapo, <\/a>and he has been actively involved with 缅北重口 since 1970.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Student Trustee Glisson<\/p><\/div>\n Sarah Glisson \u201827<\/strong> is a sophomore political science major and public policy minor from Cinnaminson, NJ. She is the Student\u00a0Manager of the College’s Civic and Community Engagement Center and Lead Ambassador for the Andrew Goodman Foundation. She is also involved in Project ARCH (Vice President) and a member of the College Honors Program. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Sarah plans to attend law school and run for local office. She looks forward to bringing the student body perspective to the Board of Trustees and helping the institution grow in its commitment to shaping lifelong learners.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Student Trustee Ha<\/p><\/div>\n Olivia Ha<\/strong> \u201928 is a Neuroscience major from Old Tappan, NJ, and a member of the College Honors Program. She is an Editorial Research Assistant for 缅北重口\u2019s Jane Addams Papers Project, where she engages in primary document research and historical transcription analysis. She also serves as President of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society and holds leadership roles as Head of Fundraising and Treasurer for Ramapo\u2019s American Cancer Society chapter, as well as Treasurer for the Pre-Med\/Pre-Health Club.\u00a0<\/span>After completing her undergraduate degree, Olivia plans to attend medical school with a focus on serving underrepresented communities in clinical practice. She looks forward to amplifying student voices on the Board of Trustees, representing the student perspective and story while strengthening 缅北重口\u2019s mission and community connection. Passionate about healthcare, social justice, and academic development, she is honored to serve as Student Trustee and represent the College\u2019s student body and beyond. Her picture is forthcoming.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Treasurer Helmy<\/p><\/div>\n Marize Helmy,<\/strong> of Franklin Lakes, is a practicing attorney specializing in Elder Law and Estate Planning at The Manna Helmy Law Group, formerly known as Michael A. Manna & Associates. She holds a BA in Visual Arts from Fordham University and a JD from SUNY at Buffalo Law School. During her time in law school, Trustee Helmy was president of the Buffalo Public Interest Law Program and raised funds to support and fund otherwise unpaid internships. She also worked in the career services office and was also involved with student conduct, later serving as the Assistant Chief of the Student Wide Judiciary. Upon graduation, Trustee Helmy received an award from the law school for the greatest contribution to the community. While studying for the bar exam, she volunteered her time translating and filing immigration applications for domestic violence victims and also dedicated her time to rehabilitative and innovative court developments such the Newark Drug Courts and Child Welfare Improvement Project. Trustee Helmy teaches at the local community schools as well as to social workers for their mandatory continuing education credits on topics relating to elder law, guardianships and other ethical issues. She is board member and acting treasurer of her church in Bergen County and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Bergen County Bar Association. Trustee Helmy has been honored by Thomson Reuters as a New Jersey Super Lawyers™ Rising Star in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Trustee Lally ’20<\/p><\/div>\n Stephan Lally ’20<\/strong> is a lifelong public servant. Trustee Lally works as the Deputy Chief of Staff to Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin in the New Jersey Assembly Majority Office, where he helps advance legislation, manage community projects, and deliver results for residents across the state. Trustee Lally also serves as a member of the Woodbridge Township Board of Education. Trustee Lally\u2019s experience spans student government leadership at 缅北重口 and service as a voting member of the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, shaping a career centered on collaboration, problem-solving, and public service.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Trustee Lopez<\/p><\/div>\n Chris Lopez<\/strong>, of Oakland, is the founder of ProfiTank, a boutique consulting firm specializing in streamlining overhead and operating costs, business process automation, vendor selection, and negotiating supplier contracts.\u00a0 A former United States Marine Officer, Chris has vast experience in advising business clients on a range of matters including but not limited to talent management\/recruiting, data analytics, and vendor management. Trustee Lopez has also tackled Veterans\u2019 unemployment issues through the development of accredited programs and curricula that helped Veterans become gainfully employed upon transition from military service.
